Christmas Week

Zoe, Kaia and I went over to Seaside the Sunday before Xmas with Mom, Kiana, Toby, Cody, Rachel and Gabe. The roads were closed everywhere because of snow except from Corvallis to Newport so we went that way and then drove up Hwy. 101...it was the never ending road! From start to finish took us about 6 hours including a stop for 45 min. in Newport. Miserable! But once we were there we were able to veg out and relax while Mom basically babysat! :) Thanks mom! Ryan and Dad joined us on Wed. night and we all had a great Christmas! Now we're looking forward to Zoe's birthday on Wednesday and a fun New Year's party at Will and Shelley's!

Christmas morning Mom made all of us go out and take a picture on the beach with the snow...forgive those of us who aren't quite dressed for the day yet (ahem)

Love this picture of Cody and Kaia

Dad and Toby modeling their terrorist accessories that they got for xmas :)

The favorite pasttime of the week (for the kids anyway) was changing diapers. Zoe changed Kaia and Gabe changed Zoe. Very entertaining for those of us watching!

Sharing a Boo

Gabe decided that his stocking looked better on his foot than hanging on the mantle waiting to be filled by Santa

Mom got kits for the kids to make Gingerbread Houses. Zoe wanted to just eat all the candy so as a compromise she'd put a piece in her mouth, suck on it and then put it on the house! Gabe got the point right away and decorated his whole house very carefully and seriously!

Ryan and Dad took Gabe and Zoe to an elk refuge somewhere around Seaside on Friday afternoon. Apparently there were around 200 head of elk and tons of "massive bulls." Very exciting for those who are fueled by testosterone. Right outside of Seaside there was high water on the road where the river had overflowed...kinda scary. At least it had gone down a little by the time we left on Sunday afternoon.

Ryan says the bull in the middle is an 8x6
