Disneyland/Christmas 2011

We went to Disneyland this Christmas. It was loads of fun but there were waaaaaay too many people. The girls didn't mind the crowds though and they loved meeting the princesses.

In a hotel in Stockton, CA on our way south.

Riding the tram from the parking garages to the Disneyland gates

Family picture in front of Mickey

Apparently this is Pluto and not Goofy as we originally thought! Oh well, the girls were still excited to meet him.

The girls were SOOOOO excited when we first walked in.

Angie and the girls in front of Walt Disney and Mickey

It was so sunny the girls didn't want to look at the camera but we had to get a picture in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle.

Dumbo Ride!!! The first time I went to Disneyland my little brother, Cody, was probably only about 5 or 6. The only ride he wanted to go on was the Dumbo Ride and we've always given him a hard time about it....but the girls loved it ;)

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride was a little too wild for the girls, especially Kaia.

Rapunzel was the first princess we got to meet. Kaia didn't like the boy so she wouldn't get in the picture but Zoe was thrilled!

Teacups!

Its a Small World...another of the girls' favorites. For adults...this is the most annoying ride ever created!

Kaia apparently got over her shyness because she basically tackled Cinderella, almost knocking her over! Then she wouldn't let go of her hug!

Princess Tiana

Princess Ariel

The characters are great! They talk with each kid for as long as the kid wants...no rushing them through a line. Ariel was very chatty!

In Toon Town

Ryan couldn't stay away from work, even in Disneyland!

In Minnie's house

We were almost ready to head back to the hotel because the girls were getting a little cranky when we got attacked by Storm Troopers!! The girls have never seen Star Wars so they had no idea what they were but it was kinda cool 'cause they walked right up to us acting all 'Empire-ish'!

Buzz Lightyear's Ride - very cool! Although Kaia thought it was too scary.

Christmas morning we opened presents and stockings

Minnie Mouse sunglasses

Entry to California Adventure

The Little Mermaid ride!!!!!!

King Tritan's carousel

We got to meet Jessie
Toy Story Midway

We took turns with Angie & Scott staying with the girls so we could go on the roller coaster. I thought we were going to make our kids orphans! So fun tho :)

Its a Bug's Life 'show' - very realistic and a little scary!

The Incredibles!!!

Kaia passed out after the fireworks

Merry Christmas from the Stacks! (kidding :)

The girls with Iridessa, one of Tinkerbell's fairy friends

The girls with Tinkerbell. Kaia asked her if she could fly :)

On the pirate ship

Kaia was just tall enough to go on Splash Mountain so we all got to ride. Zoe is very proud of the fact that "she wasn't scared at all" and Kaia, the girl who didn't like any of the other loud rides thought the 'falling part' was 'fun'! Go figure!

On the train ride around the park

This picture is exactly like what the crowds were like. It was shoulder-to-shoulder people. We had fun but when we go back we'll definitely NOT be going over the holidays!

One last picture with Angie in front of Mickey Mouse
