This is to be the briefest of updates. Some of you have asked about the adoption 'ticker' that I put up a while back. That is mainly just for me. It started 'ticking' from the day I turned in our first papers so it just tells me how long the process is. We don't have a 'match' yet but we are now at the final waiting stage which means that everything on our part is done...we're just waiting for an expectant mother to pick us after looking at our profile. I figured that since there is a 50/50 chance of us getting a girl, I should probably have a little experience with hair. Instead of starting at the beginner's level, I jumped right in and braided extensions into Kiana's hair. I'm sure a professional would laugh at some of the mess-ups but it turned out pretty good, 2 1/2 days later, and Kiana is happy with it so thats all that matters.
During that endless hair-braiding time, we were also sick. Zoe became so attached to her bowl that she even fell asleep with it. Even after we had disinfected all surfaces, blankets and people, she would still tell me that "Kaia smells like throw-up." Yumm.

We've had snow....
...and kissed (cone-headed) snowmen.
We've ridden snowmobiles.
We felt sorry for Mindy so we took her out on the town (Dufus insisted on coming along :)
